Have an event coming up you’re looking to spread the word about?

Send an email to events@xray.fm to see how we can help!

When emailing please include:

  1. Any relevant info about the event (dates/times, location, ticket links, info sheets etc.)
  2. What you're looking for from us, preferably in the subject or early in the email.* This could be things like being a media sponsor, paid underwriting packages, inviting us to attend, PSAs* AV services, getting an on-air interview, booking an XRAY DJ, having us be present there, etc.
  3. Who this event is for, so that we can place it appropriately on our schedule. If music, let us know the general genre/style. If non-music, what topics will someone that goes to this care about?

Timeline: For those new to working with us, without an established event promotion relationship or agreement, we need to receive your submission at least three weeks prior to your event for inclusion on our events calendar or newsletter, and preferably six weeks if you are interested in a radio spot about your event (i.e. underwriting). We are unlikely to consider last minute requests.

Please Note: We have a very limited capacity and unfortunately cannot accommodate all requests. The clearer your ask and the more obvious of a fit with our programming and/or mission, the more likely we'll prioritize it. We unfortunately cannot respond to every request, but welcome you nudging/following up with us to get it on our radar if it's a good fit and we haven't replied.

*Only nonprofits and/or things benefitting the wider community (such as something like demonstrations, disaster relief, mutual aid campaigns, etc.) are eligible for PSAs typically, with anything else being up to our discretion and typically done on media trade, paid campaigns, or as an act of good will because we feel strongly about something. All scripts need to be approved by us for our FCC compliance standards--even if a recorded file already exists.

When it comes to defining the space between classical and electronic music, hardly any other name is mentioned as often as that of the Berlin-based pianist, composer and producer. His unconventional approach to an age-old instrument, played contemplatively and intimately, and his sonic alchemy of ambient textures and atmospheric electronica, has won him many fans around the world. Numerous tours and concerts all over the globe have strengthened his reputation as both an exceptional instrumentalist and a fascinating live musician. His albums have garnered international acclaim from critics and audiences alike, and his live shows are regularly sold out.

Let's find inspiration in the LGBTQ community of the 1980s who literally fought for their lives through radical and clever activism. We don't give up, we ACT UP!

It's my very first (and probably only) entirely 1980s music party! Woo! A Pride Month 19-GAYTEES dance party!
As part of my 30th anniversary of becoming a DJ, all year I've been making DJ-related things happen that I've always wanted to do. This is one of them - a night of 1980s records I loved and hated (but now enjoy as guilty pleasures) WAY back in the day.

In my mind, the era of "the 80s" is the years of the Ronald Reagan regime (1981-1988), a conservative backlash/rollback reaction to the progressivism of the 1960s/1970s (a little like what we're living through right now).

I grew up in the 80s, and for me they were all about rebellion, irreverence, and rolling our eyes at authority while being "grossed out" at everything that came along with the Reagan-era (greed, excess, superficiality, consumerism, conformity, the Establishment, whitewashing, misogyny, racism, homophobia, Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, Spuds MacKenzie, etc) This is why I chose to put an anti-establishment (and GAY) character on my poster, PEE WEE HERMAN (a loner & a rebel)!

As much as I am repelled by much of what happened in mainstream culture during the 1980s, strangely a lot of the pop stars were extremely representative of fluidity in gender expression. This is a big reason I can still enjoy the music of that time (genuinely AND ironically). In fact, these days it's bringing me a lot of joy to revisit songs of my childhood.

So, JOIN ME in dancing, singing along, and "partying hardy" to songs you most likely know! Do it irreverently or sincerely - I don't care as long as you're there having fun and bonding with your community.
