In the Hearing Music: I propose to build on my experience as a listener and occasional participant in underground music to show connections between punk, no wave, minimalism, free jazz, exotica, drone, experimental, psychedelic, noise, new age, synth bliss, and other lost threads to build my portrait of sound. From Harry Partch to Harry Pussy, Joanna Brouk to Sonny and Linda Sharrock, Get Hustle to Meltdown, and on and on. There will be an emphasis on the late nineties and early 00’s, where I was part of music but stretching a net to pull in connections to today and to the past. Also  a focus on the unheard and unloved. A secret history.
