Nina

XRAY.FM Development Director | she/her/hers

Nina is an XRAY staff member working primarily on member relations, fundraising, and overall revenue generation with a particular eye towards sustainable development and capacity building to ensure the long-term success of this small nonprofit. She has a degree in Economics and Politics from Willamette University.

She joined the XRAY team in September 2019 following a stint in political organizing and legislative work for political parties, candidates, causes, and elected officials in Oregon. Prior to XRAY, she built coalitions and pilot programs to improve outreach and engage historically underrepresented groups in Oregon, particularly for non-native English speakers and immigrants in the Portland Metro.

Now, politics is joyfully once again just an interest and occasional hobby rather than her day job. When not busy with her core job function at XRAY, she still dabbles in talk programming throughout the year, particularly in the realm of news, politics, and amplifying underrepresented groups. Her programming credits include co-executive producing XRAY's annual Amplify Women Teach-In for International Women's Day since 2020, hosting Street Roots Radio, and producing over 400 Public Service Announcements for local nonprofits for the end of year giving season since 2019. She can also be found as a behind-the-scenes helper and occasional substitute host, producer, and writer on numerous other talk programs and community outreach projects throughout her tenure at the station.
