In part two of this two-part interview emareena danielles shares her strength, experience and the wisdom gained through their trauma-informed education practice teaching adult learners including those in carceral spaces. emareena is a master educator, field researcher, and public scholar exploring the intersection of education, trauma, harm reduction, and transformation. They have been studying and exploring barriers to learning, and what it means to be a “better teacher,” for over 25 years. Their formal education includes a Master’s of Science in Teaching from Portland State University, and a B.A. in Communications from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte.
