Welcome to The Commons, your weekly update on local news, arts, and activism in Portland. 

This week, the National Guard has reportedly arrived in Oregon, a veteran man is suing DHS for injury, and protests are continuing at the ICE facility - the rest of Portland remains relatively calm except for the helicopters flying overhead all the time.
