In this special episode of Flick Fix, host Jen Coyne talks to Alex Lamb and Max Well, the directors of “The Donn of Tiki.”
The Donn of Tiki tells the life story of Ernest Raymond Gannt, known more famously as Donn Beach. Donn Beach is considered the “founding father” of tiki culture and what we now know as Polynesian Pop. From the drinks, to the bars that served them, and the lifestyle aesthetic of tropical escapism, Donn had a hand in it.
There is a special screening of the film in Vancouver Washington on August 18th at the Kiggins Theater in downtown on Mainstreet. The screening is at 630, and will include a Director Q&A after the film.
