Camping during a heat wave:
Things to remember
During this heat wave, tons of people are camping at Oxbow and all over. Here are some things to know.
Check to see if you can have a fire where you are camping - go to oregon department of forestry for a map wit information about up to date fire allowances and bans
You can also find a fire danger forecast at the Oregonian/Oregon live or at the description of this radio show on XRAY.FM
Fires are so much fun but not when they are out of control! Keep water near your fire, make sure it is out all the way before you go to sleep, make sure there is no ban.
Bring extra water - not only is it good for you and your friends and family, you could help someone out
Pack it in, pack it out - please do not litter! Whenever there are huge waves of camping there is so much pollution and we really ought to be better to our land.
