Episode 118 - Palestine
The only red and green we care about this Christmas is that of the Palestinian people, who are being massacred under our watch. No better way to get into the Christmas spirit than bombing Bethlehem 🖕
Today on Mating Calls, MTS and The Jerk are showing solidarity with Palestinian and other oppressed peoples as we bring you music that challenges the white colonial settler agenda. Every artist on today's playlist is Black or Brown, speaking truth to power here at home and abroad. A special focus on Middle Eastern artists--particularly those from Palestine, its neighbors, and other occupied territories--will highlight folk songs, chants, and rare finds brought to us by the Habibi Funk label.
The tone is somber yet revolutionary here on XRAY, reminding us that the people--not the powerful--can and will find collective recognition and liberation through this atrocity.
