Diverse segments of a community in Southwestern Michigan have worked together for decades to save the Saugatuck Dunes and Kalamazoo River mouth from threats of development.

The latest threat, a proposed marina, would devastate habitat, viewsheds, and Potawatomi traditional cultural property. It features Potawatomi voices speaking about why the river and landscape are important and why they're fighting to preserve the place.
