Today we turn away from my post-vacation Brazil binge in order to focus on a pair of outstanding African comps recently released:
The first, from the Mr Bongo label, is The Original Sound of Burkina Faso; the second, on BBE Records, is long-windedly titled "Ernesto Chahoud Presents Taitu: Soul-Fueled Stompers from 1960s-1970s Ethiopia."
So yeah, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia... gonna be another day for deeep psychedelic music on today's Adventures. I will supplement material from these albums with more tasty cuts from Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Guinea.
