Up for Debate: Measure 101 (Copy)

On January 23, 2018, Oregonians will decide whether to approve sections of House Bill 2391 that assessed new fees on hospitals and other health care providers to pay for the expansion of the Oregon Health Plan.

At this Friday Forum—just two-and-a-half weeks before the votes will be counted—we'll host a debate featuring those who support the measure and those who oppose it.

Yes on 101

The "yes" side will feature Jessica Adamson, Director of Government Relations, Oregon Providence Health & Services and Felisa Hagins, Member, Oregon Health Policy Board and Political Director of SEIU Local 49.

No on 101

The "no" side will feature Julie Parrish, State Representative (R – HD 37, West Linn).

Moderator

Jeff Mapes, a senior political reporter at Oregon Public Broadcasting will moderate the debate. Mapes has covered numerous presidential, congressional, gubernatorial and ballot measure campaigns, as well as many sessions of the Legislature, stretching back to 1985.
