DJ Brother Charlie is joining me in the booth again this week, when we will play a special treat set. This will be as cool as an ice cream cone on a piping hot summer day.

The theme for today's shows is... covers!

I will kick off today's show with a collection of covers of well known songs from the worlds of Western rock and soul. No shortage of Beatle covers here... 6 in total. Plus The Doors, The Stones, and Lee & Nancy... even a pair of soft shoes from Burt Bacharach. Winding up the first hour with some modern uptempo to set the stage for DJBC; first hour ends with covers of Average White Band and Grandmaster Flash.

I will admit that I couldn't cover a full hour of American standards from Brazil... they just don't care about our music! (Too much good stuff at home.) So I have supplemented Brazilian material today with plenty of Latin stylings.

DJ Brother Charlie is going to bring in some very groovy stuff today. Of course he will be all Brazil... so will they be covers of US songs, or covers of Brazilian songs? The DJ detective will be on this case.
