Spectrum - "Nobel Special"

There is no bigger prize for scientists than the Nobel Prize. Like other science awards, the prize in chemistry usually awards research done more than a decade ago – so discoveries can be proven to withstand the test of time. Every year a select committee, members of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, get together to decide the year’s laureates. Millions of people tune in for the announcement.
