I've been wanting to leave a comment for some time, but haven't known just how to word my sentiments about your morning program. I tune in the posted broadcasts on the website fairly regularly. I find your news and social commentators to be par excellence. My only true disappointment is how they are sometimes handled as guests. I would not second guess Mr. Smith's genuine fervency for this program and XRay as a project, but I find at times certain guests are not afforded the kind of respect and room to speak on the topics they are invited on the show to do. It's frustrating as a listener when the tone of the show is erratic and trying at humor when perhaps a guest is on trying to have an earnest discussion about a topic that is highly important to them and their work. I'm an earnest listener and enjoy the hearing a thorough unpacking of an issue permitting time. With that said I feel certain guests are not afforded the time that they deserve when the hosts are cracking wise and disrupting the flow of discussion and information. I know you incorporate a healthy dose of comedy and attempts at humor in the morning, but I kind of wish you could strike a more professional balance between the two. I think this might help in insuring that the full content of the morning show is able to be uploaded, since a number of times I have noticed tail-end interviews from the uploads will just terminate in the midst of a guest talking.
Love what you guys do, I hope I don't come off unduely critical, I just wanted to add some thoughts as a active listener of the show. Structure and tone are my main two items of concern. Maybe have a philosopher on every now and then too. Thanks for what you do and offer the community!
